Server Rules

Rust is a constant evolving game, and it's impossible to cover every scenario in advance. If you come across a situation that isn't outlined, please contact the Rustafied moderation team on Discord for guidance.

Many of these offenses will receive a warning first, however, some warrant outright bans. Players with a history of server rule violations may be banned, regardless of how long ago the offense occurred.

If you've been banned and would like to appeal, go to rustafied.com/support to create a ticket.

Hacking

Hacking is strictly prohibited on our servers and will result in an immediate ban.

To report a player, use the in-game F7 report system — our moderators actively monitor these reports.

Ban Evasion & VAC/Game Bans

You are not allowed to play on our servers if -

  • You have a Rust game ban that is less than 8 months old. Refer to Facepunch's Ban Second Chances policy.
  • You are linked to more than 1 Rust game ban.

Players caught circumventing a Rustafied server ban will have their new account(s) banned unless the original ban is reversed.

Hacker/Banned Player Association

If a player is game banned or banned from Rustafied servers for any reason, they are not allowed to evade that ban and play again on a new account. When we catch players doing this they will be banned again for Ban Evasion. Associating with these players can, and often will, result in a ban for individuals or an entire team depending on the circumstances.

We do not expect players to know the complete history of every individual they play with. That said, when clear and indisputable proof of players helping others evade is available to moderators, the involved player(s) will face a ban from all Rustafied servers as well.

Playing with a VPN

Use of VPN is discouraged though most VPNs are allowed to connect to our servers. However, VPNs commonly used by cheaters may be blocked at our discretion.

Note - Given the hacker problem in Rust, if you are playing on a VPN, on a new account, private, or otherwise suspect profile, you may be banned from our servers.

Toxic Behavior

We discourage toxic behavior on our servers.

The following may result in a mute or ban at our discretion -

  • Racism, homophobia, or spamming
  • Offensive material
  • Excessive toxicity in chat or otherwise
  • False/baiting reports
  • Server/admin hating

The follow are strictly prohibited & may result in an immediate ban -

  • Exploiting bugs or glitches
  • Doxing and real life threats
  • DDos attacks or threats
  • Real money trading and/or selling resources
  • Intentionally degrading server or players performance as well as gatekeeping monuments and safe zones (example - outpost or excavator)

Admin Abuse

We take pride in carefully vetting our team, but we know mistakes can happen. If you suspect admin abuse, the best way to handle it is by reaching out directly rather than ranting in chat, which doesn't help and may lead to moderation action. Please email us at rustafied@gmail.com with your concerns — all reports are taken seriously and kept fully confidential, no matter the outcome.

Playing as a Server Moderator

Aside from community events, server moderators on Rustafied servers do not participate in normal gameplay on our servers.

Solo-Specific Rules

  • Max. 1 players authorized on TC over the course of a wipe
  • Max. 1 players in a group
  • Max. 1 players basing together
  • Max. 1 players raiding/roaming together
  • Alliances / teaming with other groups is not allowed
  • No giving away or receiving bases
  • Code raiding will result in a ban
  • No making agreements of any kind with another player to not kill each other
  • No allowing a player in your base from another group under any circumstances
  • If you're going to trade with another player, do so through a shopfront or vending machine. Other forms of trade may result in a ban.
  • If in doubt, contact a moderator - they have final say

Responsibility
You are responsible for knowing the rules. No excuses of, "I didn't know!" will be accepted.

Organization wide ban
Players banned from Solo servers will be banned from all Rustafied servers.

Trio-Specific Rules

  • Max. 3 players authorized on TC over the course of a wipe
  • Max. 3 players in a group, one member swap permitted
  • Max. 3 players basing together
  • Max. 3 players raiding/roaming together
  • Alliances / teaming with other groups is not allowed
  • No giving away or receiving bases
  • Code raiding will result in a ban
  • No making agreements of any kind with another team/player to not kill each other
  • No allowing a player in your base from another group under any circumstances
  • If you're going to trade with another group, do so through a shopfront or vending machine. Other forms of trade may result in a ban.
  • If in doubt, contact a moderator - they have final say

Be mindful of who you team with. You are responsible for the actions of your fellow team members. No excuses of, "I was offline, I didn't know they bagged someone else in!" are valid.

Organization wide ban
Players banned from Trio servers will be banned from all Rustafied servers.
